good friday

Ohhhh what a sweet Friday I had.

I was given the task of going and house sitting our clients house for 2 hours while we had a repair man come out to fix some wallpaper.

Long story short...he was a believer....he LOVES God...and I actually made him tear up when he asked me to tell him my story about my walk with Jesus and in doing so I told him all that I have gone through these past 8 months, how I am now involved in the Jr High Ministry as a leader and how I am happier now than I have ever been in my life.

You should have seen his face light up when I mentioned that I was involved in the Jr High Ministry. His eyes got all big and the biggest smile came across his face.
I came to find out that he use to be a Youth Pastor for Junior High students. How cool!!

All in all my Friday was absolutely awesome....any day can be turned completely around or just lifted up in spirit when you come across a fellow believer and get to discuss God and the love you share for God.

and with that I bid you toodles.
Enjoy my vlog. <3

life update via vlog

So I felt like vlogging instead of typing today.
I figured it would be less "wordy" but I also forgot that I am a woman with many words...
What can I say...I like to talk. :)

Happy Wednesday my loves!

are you still there?

hello? is this thing on?

Ohhh my oh my. It's been too long since I've blogged.

(bad ali.)

:)

Anywho, reason for my absence is A LOT has happened since my last post.

I've been super caught up volunteering with Church, working, trying to get back on track with my focus on photography, and um possibly...maybe...because I've been blessed with meeting the sweetest man who is now in my life and has swept me off my feet. (But that is a story for an entirely other post...it's simply such a good story it deserves it's own spot light haha)

I mean I kinda sorta have a reason to be so distracted right? ;)

Yeppp it's true and I wouldn't have it any other way.

I feel so fulfilled with where my life is going and with all I have going on. My involvement with my church and the wonderfully amazing friendships I have built are so heart warming. I love having God be involved in every aspect of my life. Each and every day I dedicate to Him.
I find myself looking forward to the Beginning, Middle & End of my week each week.

Mondays consist of Small Group with my awesome group of friends. We get to hang out, discuss God, and then after that sometimes us girls prank the boys. (Boxes in bath tubs, hot sauce packets opened and scattered on the shower floor...ya know the usual)

Wednesdays consist of Jr High Small Group with the kiddos where we get to dive deep and discuss the Bible and God deeper with the kids.

Thursdays consist of our "Girls Club" dinner dates, where a group of girls from church and I get together to discuss our week and throw out prayer requests if needed. It is such a fun time and definitely needed, especially because a lot truly happens in just a week and it is good to have close girl friends that you can get together with to discuss all the crazy and not so crazy stuff in your life. I am incredibly thankful to be surrounded by such lovely and caring women.

and last but not least...

Sundays, ohhh how I look forward to early Sunday mornings every. single. week.
I get to serve as a leader every Sunday for our Junior High Ministry at Church. I welcome kiddos into service and help any new comers feel welcome, then my favorite favorite FAVORITE part of all is when it is time to sing and worship and I go around getting the kids to clap, sing and get up on their chairs.

Some of them look at me like I am crazy, but that is okay because when they see me clapping and standing on my chair I think it makes them feel less self conscious about it and so they feel comfortable enough to get up on their chairs and worship.

I wouldn't trade any of that time to do anything else. I get such fulfillment out of being able to make some type of impact in these kids lives and to be a part of their church experience.

After serving at one of the junior high services Sunday, I then go and have "me" time and make sure I get fed with the word at one of the adult services. I love being surrounded by people who want to know God.

After running around getting the kids to sing and clap during worship, I get to sing and pour my heart out to God during the adult service.

Every single Sunday when I leave church I feel this huge sense of fullness. I feel so happy and on such cloud 9. I can not imagine spending my Sunday mornings any differently now. Before I use to only come to church every other Sunday if I "felt" like waking up early, now it's not even a question or even an option to not go.

Oh how much life has changed in the past 7 months, and how thankful and grateful I am.

I wouldn't trade anything in my life right now to go back to my life 7 months ago, not one thing.

I have never felt so fulfilled, so happy, so in tune with God and with people who truly love and care for me and who I truly get to do and experience life with.

Deuteronomy 30:19 20 “… I call heaven and earth to witness against you today, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and curse. Therefore choose life, that you and your offspring may live, loving the LORD your God, obeying his voice and holding fast to him, for he is your life and length of days, that you may dwell in the land that the LORD swore to your fathers, to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, to give them.”

I simply choose life, a life that I will dedicate to my sweet Jesus. For his love for me is greater than any love I will ever experience, and I wouldn't have it any other way. The blessings he has bestowed upon me and my life are incredible and I am forever grateful.<3
