life update via vlog

So I felt like vlogging instead of typing today.
I figured it would be less "wordy" but I also forgot that I am a woman with many words...
What can I say...I like to talk. :)

Happy Wednesday my loves!

  1. Loved this. Romans 8:28 is such an incredible verse! It has encouraged me so much these last few years :)

Also, all your life updates are freaking spectacular!!! The youth ministry work - so fantastic! It's crazy what God will show you through all of it. When I was a Young Life leader, God taught me so much about who He is... His character and all.

I feel like He taught me motherly instincts and compassion for these kids whom - under normal circumstances - I wouldn't have felt much for. It definitely helped me to understand how God cares and has compassion for me. Good stuff!

As for PERU... WHA?!?!?!? So jealous!!! :D I studied Machu Pichu a bit in one of my art history courses and am a fan of Peruvian food! (Have you been to Mi Peru on Stephanie and Horizon Ridge?!?) What an amazing opportunity, Ali! So excited for you (and all the breathtaking photos you'll take).

And congrats on the relationship! God has truly been doing a work in you! Excited for where He's brought you and for what's next! :D
    xoxo!!!

  2. Thanks Jess! Romans 8:28 has seriously been my go to verse for whenever I feel like complaining or if I feel like things aren't going how I want them to go.

I can not agree more with you about how God shows you things in your life that you didn't see before. I am reminded every day how much he has worked in my life these past few months and especially with how it all came about with me getting involved with in the junior high ministry. Gives me goosebumps!!

And YEP Peru!! Ahhh I am so excited! We don't have a set date, but when we do I will definitely let you know and I am sure I will of course post multiple blogs about it. :) Also I have tried Mi Peru and it was delicious! My boyfriend was telling me that if I liked that then I was in store for even better food since Mi Peru is a more "Americanized" version. So I am definitely looking forward to that.

I truly appreciate all the support and kind words you've given me these past few months girl! I am so thankful to have fellow believers to connect with, even if it is only from time to time. I am definitely excited to see what else God has in store for me. I had no idea 7 months ago that I would be in such a good place and happier than I have been in more than a decade, so who knows where I will be in another 6 months. :)

    1. Aw Sarah I totally needed to hear this comment today. I have had a funky weekend and have been feeling down and this definitely has lifted me in spirit. I think it is so awesome how we are able to connect with people we would have never met before but because of blogging it has brought a group of friends in to my life that I am so thankful for. I appreciate all the prayer you've been saying for me and I am so glad that you and I have been able to walk this up and down journey we've both experienced these past 6 months. God is so good and brings people into your life at just the right time and especially when you need it most. :) I am glad that I have girls like you to connect with about God and church. Definitely a sisterhood, like a blog sisterhood :) Love you!!
